If you have suffered an injury or are in any sort of pain or discomfort, seeing the team at Complete Care may be the best thing you can do for yourself. Don’t let those aches, pains or niggles impact your life or become a bigger issue or a major injury.

We know it can sometimes be a daunting experience to seek treatment for an injury if you’ve never seen a Physiotherapist or Osteopath before, and don’t know what to expect.
Here we answer some common FAQs, to put your mind at ease before seeing us for the first time.

No! Physiotherapists and Osteopaths are primary health practitioners so private patients do not need a referral to see us. The only exception is for EPC, Workcover, TAC and Veterans Affairs

If you are planning on claiming your injury through an insurance company then it is advisable to see your GP to get a referral to see a Complete Care Physiotherapist or Osteopath – this makes claim management easier and reduces claim dispute issues from insurers. If you already have a claim number please bring this and details of your insurer to your initial appointment.
Yes, absolutely. We can customise post-operative rehabilitation program based on the protocol set out by your surgeon.
You are totally entitled to choose your own therapist! Simply bring the referral in with you to your first session and we will liaise with the referring doctor to inform them that you have commenced treatment with us.

Insurance claims are billed directly to the insurer provided all necessary claim numbers and information is provided to us.

Private patients need to settle their accounts at the end of each treatment session. We accept EFTPOS, Visa/Mastercard payments, cash and cheques.

Yes, and ON THE SPOT!

Bring your health fund card with you to the consult as we use the HICAPS system to arrange direct funds transfer of your rebate, saving you a trip to the health fund.

It is advisable to bring along any x-rays and scan results that you may already have had taken, a pair of shorts if the injury is to a body part that is under normal clothing, your private health fund card (if you are a member) and means of paying for your consult – ie cash, cheque, credit card. The more information we have, the more effect your treatment will be!

In your initial assessment your therapist will give you a “Patient Treatment Plan” which will outline your treatment program and how many sessions we estimate to get you back to full health. Your progress will be regularly checked throughout this period to ensure excellent progress is being made at all times
The more, the merrier! The majority of our clients are self-referred. They come to see us because they are pleased with the outcomes we’ve achieved for them or because they have family and friends who were so pleased with our service they’ve sent others to us. We would be happy to expect the same word of mouth referrals from you
If you’re asking yourself this question, let us be the ones to answer that for you!
